"Most graphic designers have other creative outlets. After being on the computer all day, it's nice for me to have a really different creative process. I call this my "therapy."
I was fortunate enough to have a grandmother who taught me to knit when I was eight years old.
I would spend a week with "Ma" every summer and we would work on a project for me to take home.
Little did my Ma know that the skills she taught me during my week with her each summer would still be enjoyed years later."
Baby Hats are fun to make for baby gifts.
The baby girl hats have a big flower on the side. These are 100% organic cotton and are warm and soft. These hats can be found for sale at Diane's Art, Gift & Home located in the Evergreen Historic District neighborhood in Midtown Memphis, TN.
Matching knitted hat, booties and crocheted blanket.
Socks are fun, and the self striping yarn is really fun, but so far I've only knitted socks for myself!
Rug Hooking
"I took up rug hooking about 12 years ago, and so far I've only made a couple of pillow covers. But I really enjoy it.
I have drawn several of my own patterns and I really like to do that the best. I have also used a couple of kits."
This was my first project. I drew this design of scrolls and the wool in dyed to go from dark to light.
This was a kit, more primitive, but I liked the colors.
This is a current project that I'm working on to cover an ottoman. Also my own design.
